I started exploring again yesterday (just in Pensacola because I still tire out pretty soon) and found some old and new paces to visit. It is amazing how wonderful I felt when I returned home - very tired but very refreshed, too. More trips to come.
I am hoping to be up to par by the end of summer so I can make that 1000 mile trip to retrieve my belongings. I plan on visiting my brother in St. Simon's Island and my old friend in Charleston on the way up the east coast. I am, also, hoping to find enough money to move all of it back, but do I have a contingency plan if I cannot. I will pull a trailer back with the most import "stuff" and sell the rest if that happens. I really cannot afford to replace it but to move it is even more costly.
I do have furniture now, though, that my neighbors did not want when they moved out of a large house and into these apartments. I even have a 40 year old couch and love seat in yellow red, and green floral. UGH - shades of the 60's. I laughingly call it my "dead person" furniture - since it belonged to a mother of one of the residents here. Nothing here is really my style so in essence I have not totally moved in -yet.
Once that "problem" is resolved I will be ready to put the traveling shoes on for pleasure. I moved here because I am close to several states I would like to explore further. Southern Florida is waiting. I want to visit friends below the 26th parallel where it becomes subtropical.
So I am positive again and looking forward to the future. Pretty good for that old girl, huh?
