Someone has not logged out on the computer I am using. So If you get a response from a Mark - that is me. I have "used" his sign-on to respond to some comments on my page. Sorry - Hopefully this will pass soon.

Update

I am still on the apartment computer and no passwords are working except my Weebly account.  The battery I ordered for the laptop does not fit my older version. I will have to wait until payday (Friday) to get a new one and to send the other back. So it looks like dear friends it will be well into next week before I am "rebooted."

Luckily I can get on my website, but these computers are not recognizing anything else. When I post this, I hope it will share to my Facebook page and my friends will know I am still alive, although not healthy electronic-wise.

The first thing I will do when that laptop is up and running is to change all the passwords into one new one that can be used on everything I have.

Remember the time way back then when we called and wrote letters. Welcome to my world. That is all I can do for a while. SIGH.....

UGH - Electronics

Since I last posted, my electronics are giving me problems. Right now I am without my laptop (battery  died) and my smoke alarm is beeping, my cell phone stopped working,  and it is Saturday, when no one is in the office (called emergency number and it went dead). I am going to ask my male neighbor to stand on a step stool and remove the batteries in both smoke alarms.(He has done this before but might be working today.) The concept of replacing smoke alarm batteries when the time changes in the spring and fall is lost on the office. They wait until it goes bad and the resident has to sit with beeps or worse.

I am currently in the apartment's computer room using one of their computers. I have an old list of passwords and my bank account works, thankfully, since it is near payday and my account is always low this time of the month. I was able to check it and see what my balance is. I can get Facebook and Weebly and that is all. Passwords have been changed since I printed my list out.

I was able to use the apartment computers to order a new laptop battery (costs a lot, of course) and that is why my bank account is low. Once I get it I can print a new list of passwords, i.e., it is sitting on my computer desktop.

So it seems I am at a place where accomplishing something is moot. I am so frustrated.

Stopping My Irritating Behavior

Recently I have noticed that I am repeating myself – not just to myself, but to others. I am going to consciously try to stop this, since I remember my grandparents doing the same. They did not live to be the age I am now, so I guess it is good that I am older. BUT I do not want to be one of “those old people” who make younger one’s shudder.
My plan: to consciously think about what I am saying and to try to stop telling those stories. I do get carried away.  I have a dear younger neighbor who says she loves for me to tell her about my adventures, and as those of you who have known me a LONG time, I have had more than my share.
But, as much as I love to talk, and as much as I love to remember those old times when I had all those adventures, I am going to “try” to stop reminiscing them, except maybe here. Then I will “see” that I have told them already once, already.
