It seems seniors get into trouble as much as younger people - perhaps it IS second childhood. Now the problem is a trespasser who was evicted staying with a younger woman whose mother died. Technically she cannot stay because she is too young for our facility, and she is housing this jerk. He was escorted off the property last weekend and the office is getting some sort of other legal document to have him arrested if he comes back.
Can anyone remember Peyton Place???? This place has it beat with all the shenanigans that these older people get into. The rent is also going up considerably and I wonder how many people will leave and if the trouble makers will go. It will be a stretch for me, but I would have to leave the area to find somewhere cheaper. I still might have to do that, if it goes up again.
It seems our lease only protects the apartment owners. In the fine print it is said that they can increase the rent anytime they want. So it appears that the lease does not protect us. If it goes up again, I will be forced to join many of my neighbors and leave. I am overdue for a move anyway.
I am sure I can find another "Peyton Place" for seniors.
