When we first opened we had some of the grandkids come by to Trick or Treat, but that has changed, too. I even had a costume party the first year I was here, and it was wonderful. But the Pandemic has created a no fun time. We are all older here and many of us have "conditions" that make us vulnerable. Most of of us still wear masks to walk in the halls, even though we have been vaccinated. I do not know if the office personnel have had a shot. They are young.. Anyway, we seniors will plug on - that is how we got be seniors.
It is a bit sad, that I really do not see my friends here - we talk on the phone and touch base every couple of days. But a few of us have sat in our common area and caught up - 6 feet apart with masks.
I am hoping all of you dear readers get your flu shots and your Covid shots. There is a booster that I am eligible for soon, so I will get it. AND I will get a booster every year just like I get a flu shot every year. I am not ready to join my ancestors, just yet.
I have a dear sweet Yorkie, Riley, who is 12 and if I am lucky he will reach the same age as my other Yorkie, Puddin', that lived to be 16 1/2 years old, In 4 1/2 years I will be 78. Wow! that sounds old. But my mother made it to 85. I do not want to see my future, since I am now too close to the end, whenever that is.
I will continue to express my thoughts here for a while longer. As long as I can. AND THANK YOU FOR BEING THERE FOR ME-- FOR MY THOUGHTS AND MEMORIES ALL OF THIS TIME.
