Cleaning up a Forwarded Email
It is very important to clean up an email that you have received from someone if you intend forward it. "Cleaning up" means that you need to get rid of all email addresses of the sender and any other email address that the sender did not delete. This is a matter of privacy for people on the Internet and email.
The reason you want to do this is so a "hacker" cannot get someone's email address and send out spam, viruses, unwanted advertisements, etc. I have been a victim of this type of negligence. Another reason to do this is so the person receiving the email can read it without scrolling down through hundreds of names of former recipients of said email.
Below, you can find instructions for eliminating all email addresses of previous recipients before forwarding the email onward to friends.
1. Click the forward button as you usually do.
2. Before you add names of the people you want this sent to, you need to clean up the email.
3. Go to the first name (person who sent it to you) and click your mouse at the top of the email. See the sample email below:

your email.

11. Be sure to highlight all comments previous senders have made,
also.
12. Once you delete all of the addresses, the email you forward out will not only protect previous senders, but will make your email cleaner and
easier to read.
13. Now you are ready to type in the recipients of your email and
send it.
NOTE: If you accidently delete, too much, do not be alarmed. You just start over by clicking the Cancel button on your forwarded email. You go
back to the original email that you received and start over. Once you have done this a few times, you will find that it is very easy and does not take as much time as your first attempt.
NOTE: Sometimes, if there are a lot of forwarded addresses, you might not be able to delete them all in one attempt. If that happens delete a
few at a time, and if there is a troublesome one, you can delete it one line at a time by following the steps above. You will click on the beginning of the first line, hold down the Shift key, and click on the last word of the line. Click the Delete key on your keyboard and go to the next line, and repeat until the troublesome address is gone.
